For the first time, early in-person voting will take place in New Jersey from Oct. 23 and through Oct. 31 before Election Day on Nov. 2.
The early voting location in Perth Amboy, at The Jankowski Center at One Olive St, will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the nine-day window.
On September 29th, The City of Perth Amboy unveiled the Middle Passage Marker for the City’s designation as a “Site of Memory” associated with the Slave Trade. Perth Amboy is one of 52 locations across the continental US and one of 2 sites in NJ identified as being a Middle Passage port of entry. NBC News covered the event at the Perth Amboy Waterfront.
